Terry Gore
I’m a BACP registered counsellor and have been working in schools and in private practice since I qualified in 2012.
I have taught Level 2 and Level 3 Counselling Skills and Theory at East Kent College and provide specialist training in a number of areas. These include Substance Misuse Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Therapeutic and Professional Boundaries, De-escalation Skills, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Equality and Diversity and Unconscious Bias. I have also provided tailored training to homelessness organisations, churches, youth groups, schools and charities, including The Princes Trust, National Citizen Service, Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Kent, Sure Start, the National Health Service and the Medaille Trust.
From 2012 until 2021 I was also the CEO of Catching Lives, a homelessness charity based in Canterbury, Kent. During my tenure Catching Lives won the Kent Community Charity of the Year on 3 occasions and the staff turnover was minimal because of the care taken to provide support.
